Duwamish Revealed and Queen Shmooquan present:

"Queen Shmooquan, A River Runs Through Her."

Queen Shmooquan site specific performance on Seattle's own Superfund site the Duwamish River at Terminal 108, as part of "Duwamish Revealed."

Description: A site-specific, performance art/comedy, musical ”happening” on the Duwamish River (the Estuary), featuring the sensational super-real hero and renowned Modern Day Oracle, Queen Shmooquan (Jeppa Hall).

In the Queen’s debut musical “A River Runs Through Her,” she reveals her hopes for a better future for mother earth, the children of the planet and the well-being of the Duwamish River, a designated Superfund site. The Queen, a master shape-shifter, effortlessly transforms from her lucid plain talking self into ethereal and more often than not, unusual embodiments of Duwamish River, American mass culture and the greater world around her. The Queen, long revered for her hilarious, bizarre, and powerful effective healing techniques, will inspire connection, nurture stewardship, educate and encourage creative action in support of the Duwamish River. Attendees will be subjected to song, story, dance, lecture, hugging, and shape-shifting.

This solo musical production: created, composed and performed by Jeppa Hall, is part of “Duwamish Revealed! A creative celebration of Seattle’s only river” taking place summer of 2015. “Estuary,” an installation of shipping containers that is a massive sculpture, stage, and gathering area, created by Christian French, serves as the backdrop of the Queen’s performance.
